Hi - I need to be in the Vienna/Tysons/Falls Church area for 4 nights at the beginning of November and I was hoping someone might be able to recommend a hotel. I'll have a rental car so it doesn't have to be walking distance to a metro. I read on this site that Obitz had rooms for 70 bucks a night but I've been on there for the past few hours (along with many other travel sites) looking at hotels and I can't seem to find anything at a nice hotel for under 150.00 a night. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There are numerous hotels in this area, but during the week they are largely occupied by business travelers and thus the relatively high rates you are seeing. It would help to know exactly what area you need to be in as Vienna/Tysons/Falls Church covers a lot of area. Even with a car the beltway traffic can be brutal.
Mileking - I need to be near the Vienna/Merrifield (Inova Fairfax) area since I'll be there for medical appointments and thought I would stay near the mall area so I could get a bit of shopping done inbetween appointments.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I prefer to stay around Route 7/Gallows/Route 29/Chain Bridge area if possible.
I live near that area. There's a Residence Inn by Marriott and a Homewood Suites by Hilton that are very close by. Homewood Suites is likely to be less expensive. There is also the Fairview Park Marriott, but that is likely to be very expensive if staying mid-week. There is also a Hilton Garden Inn in Fairfax.
Since you are willing to stay in any of the named areas, I would try Priceline as there have been some good deals on area hotels.
