Hotel Near Rail Station

Jump to last reply

My wife & I are going to visit NYC. We desire a hotel north of the city proper within a safe walking distance of a rail station. On our last visit we stayed in Rye, NY at a Courtyard By Marriott which was within .5 mile of the Rye Station, however the path to the station was very dark & isolated. We can't run as fast as last time so looking for lodging at around the foregoing distance that has a safer feeling.

Do not desire to drive into the city. The train ride from Rye last time was great as we disembarked at Grand Central Station taking the subway or walking to the various sites to visit. Didn't have to fester about vehicle parking etc. The main site to visit this time will be the 9-11 Memorial and, of course, need to take in a Yankee baseball game.

Anyone that has any info on the desired lodging that is $200 or less per night please respond. it would be appreciated. Thank you.
