Going to have a surgery at Yales' University Hospital. It's an overnight stay in the hospital on Thursday, however,I will need to see the surgeon again on Monday. Greatly appreciate any recommendation for a clean comfortable hotel to stay over the weekend, after surgery.

Stay at the Omni. It's really the only nice hotel that is in downtown NH. The Holiday Inn is neither particularly clean nor comfortable.
Don't know what your eating restrictions are with the surgery, but I highyl recommend getting a burger at Louie's Lunch and pizza at Sally's, Peppe's, Modern, or BAR.
I second the Omni. Probably your best bet in the area without going to the surrounding suburbs.
I third the Omni. That's the best in the city.
If it is not too late, check out the New Haven Hotel. A lot of patients stay there and are satisfied. It may be cheaper than the Omni but not positive about that.

I second KikiLee's recs for Sallys and Pepes! Best wishes on your surgery.
Thank you so much. I checked both hotels on the web and rooms in NH Hotel look very dark. So, Omni it is. Unfortunately, won't be able to eat solid foods, will visit Sally's next time in town.
Bring a blender and liquify a Pepe's clam pie and drink it through a straw.
