Hotel help in Myrtle Beach

My hubby and I will be in Myrtle Beach in early June. We've never been before. We are looking for a nice beachfront hotel with efficiency with a great pool in a "quiet" area. It doesn't have to be the Ritz but it does have to be clean. We want an area where we can walk to a restaurant or two and also do a bit of shopping but we don't need the hustle and bustle of the downtown. We were looking at the Holiday Inn SunSpree in Surfside but don't know if there are any restaurants or a few stores within walking distance or if it's out there all alone. Also, what about Springmaid Beach Resort? I sure appreciate your help y'all.

Usually on a hotels website there will be a section"what's nearby" if you are considering the Sunspree..navigate their website...or go to tripadvisor.com for reviews..

I don't know about restaurants within walking distace to the Surfside hotel you're considering.

But the closest restaurants to Spring Maid are going to be Damons (ribs, and I am guessing about a 5-10 minute walk) and there's a K&W Cafeteria and a great asian restaurant, E Noodles, probably one to two miles north of Spring Maid on 20th Avenue South.

"Hmmm...we were thinking of doing Myrtle Beach, but what the heck? We'll do New Zealand instead."

How do spammers think things like that work?

Anyway, my parents always rent a condo at Grande Shores:

They seem to not pay much and always have a great time. There is a webcam by the pool so we got to see them having a great time!
