We are looking for hotels over the weekend in HS. We are travelling with 2 kids 6 & 2 yrs old. We would like hotels that are family friendly and away from bars/discos etc.

From your post, I have absolutely NO idea where you are going... to me, HS is "High School" and I don't want to go back there...LOL!!!
I agree, HS could mean anything. (Although I suspect it means Hot Springs.)
Definitely need to SPELL OUT what you are talking about, columbiaman.
Indeed, he posted last night under "Hot Spring family hotels".
Your best bet is probably the Arlington. It's a little dated, but is still very popular in Hot Springs. The other choices would be hotels out around the lake, but by this time of year, I imagine they're deserted.
