Can anyone recommend a place to stay outside the entrance to Denali? We'll be arriving by train and won't be renting a car. The next day, we'll meet the bus to Camp Denali. Thanks for any suggestions.
Hotel at entrance to Denali - no car!

I stayed at the Denali Cabins - NOT the Denali River Cabins - a few miles from the entrance to the park. They have a shuttle that takes you to the Visitors Center, train station, etc. The cabins were very nice.
As I recall most hotels have shuttles b/c there were many at the train station when the train arrived.
Returned from Denali one week ago. So exceptional. No car, travling from Anchorage by train. We spent one night at Denali Crow's Nest Inn. Not exceptional, but doable for one night, & offered get shuttle service. Also, Princess Lodge across the street from Cabins & Inn, tho pricey, offers shuttle from rail station. Stayed inside the Park (90 miles) at North Face Lodge, which was one of the most memorable travel experiences. You will enjoy Camp Denali.
Thanks very much. I found a special rate on Princess Lodge's website - cheaper than Denali Crow's Nest Inn or Denali Cabins! Nice to complete one more detail of a complicated trip. Now to find a hotel in Anchorage for a night or two.
