Hot Spots for eating from Boca to Palm Beach

In the past few years we have enjoyed eating at restaurants such as such as Kee Grill in Boca, Henry's in Delray, and Taboo in Palm Beach. We'll be going to Boca for Thanksgiving and then again in February. What are some of the new places you can suggest for dinner?

China Pavillion in Lake Worth has the most fabulous food. Just be sure to order off the Chinese, as opposed to American-Chinese menu. The winter melon soup and the shrimp stuffed eggplant are amazing.

Had a great meal in NYC Chef Daniel Boulud's DB in the Brazillion Court. Great meal!

I'm also going to be in Boca week before Thanksgiving & was going to post the same question DMG. These are not new, but places I've liked are Zemi in the Town Center Circle (sort of fusion food) and Uncle Tai's in same location is good, fancy chinese.

In Delray, I've heard Splendid Blended on Atlantic Ave. is very good but haven't made it there yet (passed by & it was mobbed. It's very casual, looks like a soda fountain but food is supposed to be great) Also heard that the Pineapple Grill in the Palm Trails Plaza in Delray is good (caribbean).

One place we enjoy for casual lunch or dinner is the Cove in a shopping mall in Deerfield beach. It sits on the intracoastal & you can sit outside & watch the boats. Not great food but fun atmosphere. I also tried the Whale's Rib a few months ago on NE 2nd in Deerfield based on a reco here. It's also very casual-no ambiance (dark wood) but good seafood, especially the mixed seafood platter.

I look forward to sharing any other recos you get!

mclaurie, if you get a chance, run, bike, or walk the Lake Trail on Palm Beach. It is an up close look at all those fancy schmancy mansions. Also, Rybovich Spencer the huge yatch place, gives free one hour tours.

The one place you must go in Palm Beach is The Church Mouse. It is probably THE BEST thrift store in the country. If this tells you anything, most vintage/boutique stores in other parts of the country buy from them. It is where ladies of Palm Beach donate used clothing to benefit either the Episcopal or Presby church.

Let me add that they have tons of once worn formals from Gucci, Chanel, Vera Wang, Versace, etc. Tons of designer bags, shoes, accessories and a mens department.

I've not eaten at DB in NYC. What is the average price for a dinner at the Palm Beach version?

PS> I eat at Uncle Tai's every year and have never had a bad meal.

GoTravel, WHERE is the Lake Trail? Thanks for the tip about the Church Mouse. Is that near Worth Ave?

DMG you should really try Zemi. Haven't been since last year. We sometimes just go to the bar, have some wine & share a few appetizers. They have a shrimp appetizer that's terrific.

The Church Mouse is on S. County Road just off Worth Avenue. I don't think it is any more than two or three blocks.

The Lake Trail runs along the Lake Worth side of inaccessable Palm Beach.

These are not new restaurants but we live in Boca and love Mario's Tuscan Grill on Federal Highway in Boca. Fabulous food and nice atmosphere. Also, if you have not tried Out of Denmark in Delray Beach (in the shopping center on the east side of Federal Hwy at Linton Blvd). Great food, but advance reservations are a must.

Thank you GoTravel. I just read the review for Cafe Boulud in Palm Beach. I think we will go there to celebrate our anniversary. It sounds very special.

You are welcome DMG. He has so many restaurants with his name and initials, I wasn't sure if it was Daniel,
Cafe DB, DB, Cafe Daniel, or Daniel Boloud.

Don't forget the Church Mouse. My husband bought a brand new pair of custom alligator Footjoys for $50 that I'm sure would retail for over $2,500. Also, a lot of golf clubs and accessories.
