Honeymoon in Hawaii

We're going to Hawaii for our honeymoon in June. Can anyone recomend some accomodations considering romance and privacy, yet accesible to night life?

Jim,
Consider staying in a condo at Grand Champions Villas in Wailea. It's a small complex -188 units - never crowded and yet it's near Kihei. There are first class hotels in Wailea if you want to splurge and more economical ones in Kihei. You can also barbecue once or twice if you want if you stay at a condo. Check out my website - www.mauihawaiicondo. for a look at my rental unit in Grand Champions. I suggest you plan on spending the biggest part of your time on Maui since there's so much to do there. Kauai is beautiful but not nearly as much to do there.

Jim,
My husband and I loved Kauai the best! It was very beautiful and we had plenty to do. As for where to stay I would recommend the hyatt in Poipu. It's a bit spendy but very beautiful/tropical. They have a wonderful restaurant called "Tidepools that was magnificient. The north side of the island is spectacular, especially in June! The Princeville Resort was very elegant but we preferred the Hanalei Bay Resort-right above the princeville. Make sure you get ocean view and go for the suites not the hotel rooms. Maui is great, more resorty and much more people but beautiful also. The resorts in the Wailea area are beautiful!
Have fun!

In Maui, the night life is in Lahaina which is a good drive(40min) from Wailea. Lahaina is the main town for shopping, dinner, and the harbor for boat adventures and dinner cruises. I would consider staying closer like Kahana/Napili/Kapalua. Look on the link below and click on Aerial Photos or Resorts to get a good picture of what you want.
Congrats
