Homestead Studio Ste, Mid-Valley Salt Lake City?
Has anyone here stayed at or driven by the Homestead Studio Suites - Mid Valley location in Salt Lake City? The address is 5683 S. Redwood Rd (for those that live around there). I'm wondering if its in a nice area, and if its on top of the highway or other busy busy roads (noise issues!).
There's 1 review of it in Tripadvisor (negative), but the reviewer is mostly hysterical about the "hassle" she was given for not having a credit card or having to rely on mass transit, and doesn't say much about the property itself. Thanks!

I've not stayed at this particular hotel, but if it dosen't work out for you, you may want to try the Residence Inn in Sandy. Very nice hotel in a relatively quiet area, yet close to a lot of things. One of our favorite places to stay.

I have not stayed at this hotel, but drive by it frequently. It is located near a freeway off ramp, but it may be set far enough back that it wouldn't get too much road noise. It is located in an area of strip malls, but it is residential behind it. Redwood Road is a major road in Salt Lake. It is not located by any tourist areas. It looks nice enough from the outside. Why are you wanting to stay in this particular area?

Thank you tcapp & BarbaraS for the info so far.
My DH & I are only in town for 1 night (a Saturday), flying out Sunday evening. Most of our trip is to Cap. Reef Nat. Park, but my husband wants to spend the 1/2 day before our flight to check out pockets of waterfowl (nesting & wintering ducks) around the east edge of Salt Lake. He photographs waterfowl semi-pro, and is scouting for future trips. So I'm looking for a cheap place for the night with a fridge & some room to repack our junk for the flight (I have a cpn, so I can get a room at this location for $38 plus tax. I considered Homestead Sugar Bush (?) but its about $15-$20 more, not worth it since we are just looking for a place to sleep). I've stayed at a Homestead b/4 (Seattle), it was nice enough but there was a problem w/ road noise - a big road in front & a highway ramp in back. You couldn't escape it (& I requested a room in back when I made the res & it was noisier, cuz I didn't know the lay of the land!). Silly me...
tcapp - I checked out the Residence Inn - Sandy - it looks really nice. I'll put that on the sticky side of my brain when we return & are staying longer!
From your description Barbara, it looks like I could request a room in back and be ok. I'll bring my snooze pills just in case.
