Hiking the Narrows, Zion National Park

Hiking "The Narrows" is an amazing experience. It is unique, moderately difficult and one of the coolest hikes everyone should do. What can be more exciting than hiking between 1000 ft tall sandstone walls in the chilly Virgin river trail and witnessing one of the most stunning landscapes. We did this a while a ago and sharing our experiences. Hopefully this will be helpful for other and feel free to add a comment if you like it or any information is missing.

The problem with slots is the zones of lights from top to bottom.
Your pictures are very well controlled.

Are those actual photographs or photoshopped - and which version.
Did you use a sturdy tripod as river currents induce vibration?

Vaga

Cold water - when was this hike conducted?

Thank you. All the photos are minimally edited for some brightness, contrast etc. I use Apple's Aperture for editing.

We went there in the end of October.

BTW, we didn't use any tripod. May be the OIS in lens was good and managed the shake.
