We will be in Napa for 7 days in early October. In between all the eating and wine tasting, we would like to spend at least a half day hiking. Can someone recommend some trails? We're okay with a 4-5 hour hike.

The best trails are in the 2 state parks - Robert Louis Stevenson and Bothe-Napa:

There's talk about Bothe being shut down for budget reasons but most likely it will be after your visit.
In the city of Napa, there are some local parks that have short hiking trails and walking paths.
We hiked in annandel state park and loved it. Also, Jack London State Park has interesting history plus some nice hikes.
Thanks to you both! I will check out your recommendations!
