Help with Nashville Hotels

Jump to last reply

Thanks to tomfuller, Gretchen and others who offered suggestions on another post I made about a December trip to Baltimore and Philadelphia. Dh said he would prefer to visit those areas in warmer weather. He has asked me to research Nashville. I have been to Nashville a few times, DH has never. We would visit The Hermitage, Country Music Hall of Fame, Ryman Auditorium, and maybe catch a concert.
Our info:
1. Age: mid to late 50's
2. Budget: Under $200. per night. Would be willing to pay up to $250. for a really great deal.
3. A hotel where we can get out an walk to interesting sites. Do NOT want the Opryland Hotel. Been there, done that. Want to be closer to the action.
4. Arrival date: December 20-23, December 25-28, or December 26-29. We can only spend three nights and we have to plan it around other family obligations.
5. Would be flying in on Southwest. Can rent a car for the duration if necessary.
6. Are not foodies.

Any suggestions as to hotel, itinerary, and the best dates to be in Nashville are greatly appreciated.
