The Hotel Indigo is Intercontinental Hotel's new line of boutique hotels. Each Indigo is different and built to fit the city in which it is located. This hotel just opened in early November and is terrific.

jcnissen, can you tell me about the rooms? What were the big pluses of the hotel? How was the service? Is there an on site restaurant?

We were in Asheville a few weeks ago and went by this hotel on the hop on-hop off trolley. The immediate area appears to be still in the midst of construction and I recall the trolley driver making a somewhat snide comment about how long it took to build the hotel or that it was still being built. It's on the edge of what I would consider to be the downtown, so as long as you're a walker, everything you'd want to see is in walking distance. If you don't like walking, you might find it to be not as central as you'd like. We didn't go in, so I can't offer any help on that.

The new Grand Bohemian across from the biltmore entrance is probably the finest hotel in NC. Take a look at the web site - http://www.kesslercollection.com/hot...rts/hotels.asp

Tell me about your experience there, David. What room configuration did you have? How was the food in the restaurant? What was the service level? What did you like best? Did you try the spa? What needs work?

Thanks.

David thanks for your post. I was looking for someplace for a Christmas gift for my in-laws. Staying at Biltmore and Grove Park was out of our budget. The Grand looks great. I'll let you know what my in-laws think.

My In-laws just got back from the Grand Bohemian and loved it. They loved the neighborhood it was in and was impressed with the decor.
