Help!! Need a Good NYC car service Please

Good Afternoon,

I have a question regarding NYC car services, I will be traveling to NYC on a business trip in the next coming weeks and I will need to hire a car service to transport me around the city.

I could take the train or hail cabs, but in the past, I've found that car services are more reliable. I looked up a couple companies, but the sheer amount of choices was overwhelming.

I figured who better to ask about NYC car services than a New Yorker... So far I have narrowed the choices down to three companies, that seem to have really good reviews.

Luxor Limo: www.luxorlimo.com
Charter Premier Exclusive: www.charterpremierexclusive.com
Legends: http://www.legendslimousine.com

Any help would be appreciated, If anyone has ridden with any of these services... What was your experience like? And if you have any other companies you recommend feel free to mention them.

Thanks

Have never heard of any of them. They are perhaps corporate car services, which will be much more expensive than the very large basic car services such as Carmel and Dial 7.

But I would probably do Uber instead - rather than make all of these arrangements in advance or wait until ready to go and have to sit and wait for a car service car to turn up. Well, I would probably just do cabs - since as a local I have a good idea where and when to get one.

Note that if you make arrangements in advance car services will charge extra for any waiting time if you are not ready to leave when scheduled.

For the constant service you describe, you will have to pay by the hour, probably a minimum number of hours. I've booked Dial7 this way a number of times for my boss. I guess it depends on your budget.

If you are headed to outer borough be sure to ask for someone who knows those boroughs.

I don't know anything about these companies. My company uses Execucar. I have only used it occasionally for airport transfers, so I can't comment on the reliability for getting around town.

If you don't want or need a car to wait for you to go to the next meeting, then Uber Black might be a better option. It can be called as you need to move on.

Thanks for Your replies guys, It helps... I'll look into Execucar since I haven't heard of them before. If I can't find anyone that I'm satisfied with, then Uber Black will probably be my best bet.

In today's Manhattan, UBER is your best bet, without a doubt.

If you need airport transfers, then Dial 7 might save you a few bucks.

Actually, no. Carmel is significantly cheaper than Dial 7 for airport transfers.
