Hearst Castle - Doable with a 2 year old?

Hi - Has anyone visited Hearst Castle with a 2 year old? After visiting their website, I feel like it might be a lot of walking and stairs to climb and my lil guy is getting heavy to carry around for long periods of time. No strollers are allowed there.

Thoughts on whether its doable with a 2 year old or better to skip until he's older?

Well, yes, you might end up carrying him a lot so I would wait.

Not to mention, the tours are guided so you don't want your two year old to start screaming or something.

I can't imagine trying San Simeon w/ a toddler.

Children are allowed -- but strollers aren't. And each your group must stick together - no lagging behind.

don't do it. parent's will be miserable, hauling the kid around and hoping that he behaves..kid will be bored and if he is miserable...you'll be ruining the visit for others. many, many other things to do around the area that you could all enjoy.
