Hello,

I feel a little silly posing thing but has anyone had any experience with any of the retreat tour companies in Sedona, Arizona, possibly with a healing slant?

I recently was diagnosed with cancer and am looking for a getaway with some focus on healing, whether it is visiting with actual healers or just doing healing things that may help me cope/recover. I will be going for a weekend in September.

I've read on other forums that there are a lot commercialized businesses and some of the services they offer may be "junk." So obviously I am both skeptical but also hopeful to have restful, meaningful trip where I can refocus my intention on healing and self-care.

It's not Sedona, but I went on a retreat, alone, for 5 days and had a wonderful experience here:

They have community tables in dining room so you don't have to eat alone unless you wish to do so. I met some nice women and we have kept in touch.

Check it out. Fly to Las Vegas or St. George.

I don't have any personal knowledge of any centers out there, but I've use this site a few times to find other types of retreat centers and they've all been spot on recommendations.

Since Sedona is famous for its vortexes, I would do the retreat that is their speciaty and focuses on the vortex energy. Wish I had experience to share, but this looks great. The mind-body connection is real, so do what speaks to you.

So sorry you are going through cancer.
I've been many times to Sedona and it is a place, at least for me and others with intense mother earth healing.

Personally, I would do it on my own and visit some of the 7+ vortexes around Sedona..

Depending oh your budget, I've stayed from Enchantment Resort...5* stunning resort in one of the most intense vortexes and sacred ground that the resort backs up to..
Sedona Rouge is a Kimptonish hotel with a great restaurant.
Best Western is decent, along with Hyatt and Days Inn..
Price points for any budget.
For me, Airport, Bell Rock and Boynton Canyon (strongest) are the best.

I find going alone and hiking and just finding a place to reflect, hike and soul searching with nature and yourself, is the best therapeutic cleanse but everyone is different.

There is a great psychic crystal place by the creek that does readings, sage cleansing and crystal healing.

Treat yourself to Elote Cafe for dinner...go about a half hour before they open..one of the best Southwest cuisine in the US.

Kauai is another high energy vortex place up by Princeville in North Shore if your ready to beach it up.
