Has anyone stayed at the Waikiki Marriott? If so, what is your opinion? There are 2 towers....is one better? What about the restaurants? Thanks for any help.

I've stayed there. It's a nice hotel - like most other urban Marriotts. We were upgraded to a partial ocean view room which was a nice treat. It's in a good location (pretty much everything in Waikiki is in a good location). I assume you're aware it's not on the beach side of the road (neither is the Hyatt, for example, but some, like the Royal Hawaiian and Halekulani, are). Can't help with restaurants as I avoid hotel restaurants.
Off Marriott topic-but if you happen to be military, the BEST I can suggest is the Hale Koa. An expansive resort-right on Waikiki. And that Sunday Brunch! FABULOUS!
I have stayed and it is nice with a wonderful ocean view (ocean front) if you get that type of room with a small but adequate balcony. I stayed in the tower closest to the ocean. It is an old hotel that has been remodeled. I saw the original hotel in an old Hawaii 50 program from the 70's. Bathroom is very very small and it has been a long time since I was at a good hotel that did not provide robes......Ate at the pool restaurant/bar and it was good for sandwiches, etc. but I went because on Thursday they have a fab Hawaiian band. Don't miss that if you love Hawaiian music like I do....Location is good - across the street from the beach and of course there is a Starbucks around the corner and ABC across the street.....
