As soon as I secured our Delta Sky miles seats for the 6 of us, interisland frequent flyer seats from United for 5 of us, I booked our resorts, (Hale Koa, HNL), Lae Nani, Kauai, and Ka'anapali Alii, Maui, and I booked the mini van for all three islands. With discounts, coupons, taxes and fees included, the car rental costs will be $837, although I think I have a coupon that will be accepted at the counter bringing the total down to $802. That sounds really good to me. Is there any reason to keep looking for a better rate?

I don't know if that is a good rate or not, but here is the website of the discount car rental we used recently while in Hawaii. I thought their rates were really good. Check and see if their rates are better than what you already have.

DawnCt, that rate sounds quite good to me for a mini-van for 18 days. I'm sure there's always something a few dollars/cents cheaper if you want to spend enough time digging for it, but, hey, your time is valuable! I'd be happy with that rate ... Now if you can just figure out what to pack ... always my biggest headache!
Well I checked out the above web site and the early bird catches the worm. Considering I have a 3 and a 5 day rental thrown in there, it doesn't seem like I can beat the rate I have got. Now I will have to think about what I can pack....or overpack!
