Have you used expedia.com to book your hotel?

I've seen a really good price on expedia.com for the Eastgate Towers in Murray Hill. On hoteldiscounts.com the same hotel is $96 more expensive. I have no problem booking on the internet but am concerned about my credit card being charged up front. Has anyone booked with expedia.com before? Any problems? Did it work out fine?

Thanks

Hi Anne:

Yes, I've used expedia quite a few times for hotel bookings and have found them to be wonderful. No hassle. You don't get credit for frequent stay programs at the hotel usually though. Other than that, the prices can't be beat, and it's nice to have my hotel bill paid for upfront. I've found the folks at expedia to be somewhat helpful on the rare occasion that there was a problem, but I always print out my confirmation and call the hotel ahead of time as well. Good luck.

Some of the 'Expedia Special Rates' you must pay in full at the time you reserve. As long as you have no problem with that, it's fine. We've done it and it's worked out fine. I also call the hotels directly and ask if they have any special deals and check the hotel websites to compare before I book thourgh expedia or anywhere else.

I just returned from a trip used Expedia to book my hotel room. When I arrived check in went smoothly; the room was just as I requested. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I also recommend printing out your reservation confirmation just in case, but I didn't need it.

I've used Expedia a few times with no problem.

I have had problems with smaller websites.

I've gotten FABULOUS rates on Expedia and experience no probems whatsoever. I've found, though, that each booking is an entirely new endeavor, and it pays to shop all resources each and every time.

I too have have used Expedia with good results, However, be aware if you have to check out of your hotel before you planned there are no refunds.
