Federico Castelluccio is the arm-break from Naples (and hunk!) on "The Sopranos."

Yes, I think so. Wait a minute, maybe not. Hmmmm, is that the, no , wait , yes! That is I think, but then, no, maybe not, but if it is the one that I'm thinking of , but then, it couldn't be, could it? Oh, Oh, I just remembered, no, different spelling, but of course you must mean---if you mean the one on the left, noooooo, hey, I'm confused here, but I think the one you are talking about , no, wait a minute, if it's the one I'm thinking it is , oh, I need some coffee and some time to think about this. I'll be back afterwards. Just hang in there while I straighten this out, willya?

Thanks for all the responses to my vague question. I would like to know if anyone has ever eaten at Frederico's Bistro on W. 50th street, NYC? Was the food good? Service? Prices? I can't find a review of the restaurant anywhere on the web. I also would like some info on San Domenico NY on central park. Do you need a jacket and tie to eat there? Thanks kathy

Strangely enough I passed this very restaurant last night on my way home from work. It looks to be brand new (hence, no Zagats) and the sign in the window says Frederico's Brick Oven Pizza. At the time (6:00pm) it was half full. "Bistro" is a bit of a stretch but it looks like a perfectly clean, acceptable place for a casual pasta meal, although there are so many nicer places to eat in Manhattan. Of course, you're probably better off walking 4 blocks south to John's Pizza instead, which is the standard bearer for brick oven pizza in the area.

YES. After passing it nearly a month ago (see above post) I ate there last night, and it was great. It's called Federico's (not Frederico's) and it's on W. 50th, just off 8th Avenue.

It's a small, clean, cozy Italian bistro with your usual variety of pastas and brick oven pizza. Good wine list. They have a pre-theatre prix fixe ($17.95) and the large (8 small slice) pizza is $10.95. Figure a dinner for 2 with a glass of wine and coffee will run about $35. As for me, two people split a 1/2 red-1/2 white pizza, and with one coke (mine) and one cappucino (hers) the bill came to $16.70.

If you live in NY, definitely check the place out. If you're visiting, this place provides an alternative to the hustle and bustle of John's Pizza.

Yes, once or twice and I've never been sorry.
