Gulf Shores Entertainment
We are planning a Sept vacation and I am wanting to rent a home on the waterfront but I want it to be close to some night life because are adult children will be joining us. Any suggestions?

If you Gulf Shores people would have responded earlier then I would not have had to make such a total idiot of myself. I thought the poor thing wanted to know about night life anywhere on "the Gulf shores". Jeez.

Thanks for all of your help, I will have to address that issue with the kids. Do you have any suggestions for rentals of houses, which part of the beach is the best, as far as I can tell most of the rentals are on on West Beach Ave and I am not sure where the heart of the beach is. Any recommendations for a 3 or 4 bedroom beach front?

OK,OK...sheesh! I thought gontis was talking about the entire Gulf Coast. Here in beautiful Gulf Shores (cultural hub of Baldwin County), AL we do have a few things other than great beaches and fried seafood. Some pretty good beach band music at Live Bait, FloraBama (one of the top ten dives in the US), Kokomo's and our newest venue, LuLu's. LuLu's (owned by Jimmy Buffet's sister)was previously about 12 miles up the road on the Bay, but has moved into metropolitan Gulf Shores. Also, there are some decent venues in Pensacola.
For the beach house rental, try meyerre.com or kaiser.com. West Beach Blvd and Fort Morgan have the most beach houses. Orange Beach is bigger on condos.
