Go to www.al.com ---look at Gulf Shores and Mobile(1 Hr)
Gulf Shores, Alabama is very nice and they have nice beaches.
If your children like history, drive up River Rd along the Mississippi River from NO to see the old plantations.
My family spends a week on the Gulf Coast each year. Do not stay in Mississippi on the coast, make sure you stay in Gulf Shores, Alabama. We rent a house for the week from Meyer Realty. There are several companies that rent houses and condos. Orange Beach and Fort Morgan are also nice areas!!
