Is Green Acre park on E. 51st open past 5pm during the week? Is it open on weekends? Thanks in advance!

According to a recent Yelp review, M-F 8-8 and S-S 9-8. (I'd never heard of it, so I wanted to see it, it looks beautiful).

It is a lovely oasis during the day. Oddly enough, no photo taking allowed! I pass it frequently as I live nearby. Never crowded. It is one of midtown's pocket parks, with another being Paley Park on East 53rd Street, east of Fifth Avenue.

My mother used to often eat her lunch at Paley Park.

I did, too! I worked at 717 Fifth Avenue and would often take lunch in the park...as I remember, it was a few steps from the giant Doubleday book store which was on the corner of 5th and 53rd.

My mom worked at 838 Fifth for years (I worked there a couple of summers, too). She loved the old Brentano's.
