We are staying at O'hare and will be taking the blue line into town. Was wondering what the walk was like from the blue line to Halstead Street? Best stop? Any safety issues? Would like to hear recommendations for greek restaurants too. Thanks

It depends where on Halsted you want to be. Do you mean Halsted in Greektown? If so, the UIC-Halsted stop looks best. If not, here's where you can find a system map for the El:

Can't help with the other questions as I haven't been in Greektown yet.
The Parthenon (sp?)!!! We've walked there from the marina quite a few times with no problem but usually took a taxi back.
I've been to several Greektown restaurants and have never had a bad meal. A couple have outdoor seating so you can look at the skyline and Sears Tower while you eat. The walk isn't bad from the UIC stop. If you're not up to it, you can also get off the blue line at Madison and take the #20 bus west to Halsted.
I've eaten at Rodity's, Athena, Costa's, Santorini and Greek Islands and I like Greek Islands the best. A friend of mine who's Greek and has probably tried every restaurant on Halsted prefers Athena and Greek Islands.
Pegasus has rooftop dining but 2 or 3 people have told me that the food has slipped a bit so I've never tried it.
