Great place for breakfast with a view of Central Park?

Is there a restuarant that serves a terrific breakfast that has a view of Central Park?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Do it NY Style and grab a coffee and roll/muffin/bagel and bring it into the park!

Find a nice bench amongst the many, and watch the world go by.....

Asiate has great views and upscale food - with prices to match (check out the menu online). Dress is business casual and cell phones aren't allowed (something I wish all restaurants would do).

I had brunch at Asiate as someone's guest recently. The food was good - not great - and brunch for four was over $300 with drinks.

How about packing a bagel with cream cheese to the sculpture roof garden at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. There's no better park view.

It's not a great view, but the Park Room at the Park Lane hotel serves breakfast as does the restaurant inside the Essex House Hotel, both on Central Park South.

if you want a view from the top of a building I can't help you, but if you just want to see or be near Central Park, I can tell you Sarabeth's, that is on Central Park South!

Many of you beat me to it. Go to Zabar's, H & H, or Barbey Greengrass and get a bagel or something and become part of the scenery.

300 bucks for brunch. I serve a buffet in may apartment for a mere $250.

A lot of what you're paying for is the view - which the OP asked for. Also a great restaurant - which Asiate is - and Sarabeth's is not. (The food is fine, but not great.)

Of perhaps s/he didn;t mean "great". When someone says that to me I assume they want upscale with a sophisticated experience, extensive menu, and truly excellent food - which we found there.)

Recently found out Landmarc in the Time Warner building serves breakfast. It's not a 35th floor view, but it's some view.

Bouchon Bakery Cafe in the Time Warner building has a fairly good view of the Southern end of Central Park.

if you can get a window table, Park Lane has been my fav for a long time---give the concierge a nice tip the night before and see if he will get you a window table for breakfast,if you get there early before the business crowd, youll get one--its old New York, but worth it

I'm jumping in on this to ask what is the menu and pricepoint of Park Lane? Do they serve breakfast/brunch on the weekends?
