Great Mom n' Pop Motel

Hi...looking for a great mom n' pop motel in Madeira/Treasure Island/Redington/Indian Shores area (four days in mid-Jan). Anywhere within walking distance of Gulf Blvd would be great. Do not care about small or old facilities but cleanliness and comfort is key and we are definitely budget sensitive. Would love to hear your personal experiences!

Can't wait for this chance to escape the snow that will be falling any week now in Canada!

Thanks for the help.

Not really a mom and pop but we stayed at a nice condo that has efficiencies which we loved. Ocean front with balcony and I love having a small kitchen. Try: Island Inn Beach Resort 1-800-241-9980. It's on Gulf Boulevard in Treasure Island.

We absolutely loved The SeaChest Motel of Treasure Island. See www.seachestmotel.com

It was older - the kids called it the Brady Bunch hotel - but it was absolutely spotless. Our unit had a kitchenette. The pool is small but very nice, the grounds were well kept. It is set back a little ways from the beach but you do not have to cross a street or anything like that. There is nothing between the motel and the ocean. It was very reasonably priced when we went.

Thanks for the recommendations. I don't think a condo will work due to our short stay - only four nights. And the Sea Chest is completely sold out. Any other great values in the area?

Hi arboldepalma
I just called the Island Inn and they will rent per night. They have efficiences available the middle of Jan at 107.00 per night and if you have AARP or AAA it's 96.00. This is a great location and a nice facility.
