GrandCanyon and Antelope in one day

My husband and I are planning on a vacation to visit GrandCanyon, Antelope, Bryce and Zion in early April. We have our flight tickets booked to LasVegas for 3 days and 3 nights.

We arrive at LasVegas at around 8PM friday night. Planning on renting a car and drive towards Grand Canyon during the night and stay in a hotel close by for the night. Saturday morning we visit Grand Canyon, spend a little time and then head towards Antelope Canyon and take a tour. We will spend the night nearby. Sunday morning visit Horseshoe bend and head towards Bryce and stay in Bryce. Monday morning we visit Zion and then head back to Vegas for an early morning flight back.

Is this doable? Please help!

Let me get this straight -- you have 2 days and want to visit the Grand Canyon, Antelope Valley, Horseshoe Bend, Bryce and Zion.

>>No. It's nuts.morning flight? Since it take 3 hours minimum from Zion to McCarran Airport - that is pretty much impossible.

No, I have 3 full days days. I will already be in GrandCanyon on Saturday morning. Wanted to know if its possible to visit GrandCanyon and then travel to Antelope and do a tour on the same day. I will be staying the night near the Antelope Canyon.

No -- you don't have three full days (unless there is a mistake in your OP) . As I see it You have Fri/Sat/Sun nights and fly home Monday morning. That gives you all day Saturday, all day Sunday and maybe an hour or two on Monday morning.

What answer are you looking for?

"Yes, your plan makes good sense"

Or

"Yes, you can drive by the Grand Canyon, take a quick peek and check it off your 'been there done that' list"?

If it is the former then no.

If the latter. Sure. Plenty of time. Enjoy!

I'm sorry for not being clear. Return flight is on Tuesday morning. So, we get Saturday, Sunday and Monday - 3 full days.

Still not enough time. Yes, you could do one day in each park. But you are not factoring in the drive time. Add to it that you really don't want to be driving at night in those areas if you can avoid it. Some places are open range--cows on/in the middle of the road. Otherwise, you have lots of wildlife out at night and you don't want to hit something. Add to that the fact that you are missing all that amazing scenery.

With your 3 days, you could see Zion and Bryce. That's it really.

If you leave Grand Canyon by 10 AM you can do a tour of upper Antelope Canyon in the afternoon, IF you can get one. If it is not sunny, it is not going to be very spectacular, more like being in a cave.

That said, you have more car time than park time planned for this trip.

Thanks for all the advice. I will change my ridiculous plan to just Zion and Bryce. However, my husband wants to see GC and antelope.

I am a bit late here but thank goodness you have decided to change your plans. I would pick Zion and Bryce. You can make a very, very nice trip out of those two parks. However, I would certainly not drive from Vegas after an 8 PM landing. Why not just get a room in Las Vegas, get a good night's sleep and then get an early start first thing in the morning. I think it is a bad idea to drive through the night.
