Grand Junction, C-where to stay?

We are flying in and out of Grand Junction before 5 days in Moab. We need to stay 1+2 nights in Grand Junction and can't seem to find a hotel with decent overall reviews. Any ideas?

This is Linda from Grand Junction. I would stay downtown. Nice walking area with good restaurants and shops. Downtown is one of our usual places to go with guests. The hotels I would choose are: Main street Suites, Springfield suites and the Hampton Inn. DT is only a couple on miles from the airport, but if you want to be closer, try courtyard by Marriott.The Doubletree is out there too, but I don't know if they have done any updating. Lots of other places by tbe airport but these would be my choices .Also a new Candewood Suites out by the mall and I have heard good things about it.Grand Junction ids a small city and nothing is too far from nyting else.

It is only 114 miles from Grand Junction to Moab (1.7 to 2 hr.)
I saved some money by staying in Green River when visiting Arches etc.
Why spend more than 1 night in Grand Junction?
