Grand Canyon from Phoenix
Have a trip planned for Phoenix in Oct. Would like to find a tour co. that can pick us up and drive to the Grand Canyons and then drop us back to the Phoenix hotel .
We would like to do just a day trip.
Has anyone used a tour company for such a day trip. Would love to hear about your experience and names of tour companies that are reliable.
Thanks for your help.

There are certainly companies that offer this but I can't recommend a specific company. It's going to be almost a four-hour drive, so you end up spending more than twice as much time on the bus as touring. Are you sure you want to do this?

Doug, Thanks for your reply. Yes, we understand that it will be a long drive. But with some minor health issues this is the only possibility.
Looked at the options on the internet and see there are many tour companies. Will connect with them and do some research and see what I find.
Hoping some other travelers will share their experience on such a trip.
Have a great day.

Most of the people on here are DIY so if you want to get opinions on a tour, a google search for reviews is your best bet.
Have you considered a shuttle from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon rather than a tour? I believe the shuttle goes to Flagstaff, then connects to another shuttle that goes to Grand Canyon. It would allow you to stay overnight at the South Rim which is far better than a quick day trip.

Where-thanks for your input.
I am looking into finding some sort of a van/shuttle that will take us the Grand Canyon and bring us back. Must be a day trip.
Have found some options through our hotel and I think we can easily choose one that fits our needs.
Thanks for your help.
