Grad Student Moving to Seattle

Am new grad student at University of Washington, beginning late Sept. I plan to drive up on Labor Day weekend to hopefully locate and move in to an apartment. Looking for suggestions on neighborhoods. Am thinking it best to be close to campus. Want vibrant neighborhood. Thanks for your advice.
