Governor's Inn in Santa Fe
Has anyone stayed at this hotel? It looks great on the website, and the price is right... but lots of hotels look great on the web and turn out to be dumps. I know, I've stayed in some. Any info would be much appreciated!

tmemedia,
I stayed at the Inn of the Governors on my honeymoon in 1977. It was such a charming place and I will never forget it because we first stopped at a typical Holiday Inn on the edge of town and it was a whopping $40! We just couldn't believe the price and besides, what honeymooners needed a room with two beds? The man at the desk told us we'd never find a room downtown, but we forged ahead and walked into the Inn of the Governors and got a room for $25. It was very authentic Santa Fe decor and our room overlooked the pool, which was surrounded by evergreen trees. I've since checked the prices there and they are out of sight now, but I assume the quality and charm are still there. I've driven by it several times and it looks good.
