going to Mystic 5/15-5/19 - need help
My wife and I are planning to see Mystic Seaport and Mystic Aquarium in one day. Can it all be seen in one day?
Also, we were planning to eat at Mystic Pizza. What is the best time and day to go? We will be there from Thursday 5/15 to Monday 5/19. Thanks for any assistance.

To do both the seaport and the aquarium in one day is too much and won't do justice to either. Maybe a half day for the aquarium but more for the seaport. Mystic Pizza, not worth going out of your way for.

We did Mystic Seaport and Aquarium in one day, though we could have spent longer at the aquarium. We went to the aquarium in the morning, ate at Mystic Pizza for lunch, and walked around a bit after lunch. We waited for about 15 minutes in the bar at lunch and we arrived around noon. No Mystic Pizza isn't the best pizza I've ever had (but it wasn't bad either), but it was fun to eat there because I had seen the movie years ago.

You could see both in one day, but you'd enjoy Mystic more if you took two. That way you can enjoy downtown and Mystic Village.
Mystic Pizza is just another pizza place. There are other places that are have much better food, such as Go Fish and Seaman's Inn or the sandwich shops and cafes downtown.

you can totally do both in one day. i did, and even had time to drive to a beach at westerly, rhode island only 10 miles away. maybe grab a hotel/motel for one night. and the pizza really is that good! if your there you have to do it, just for fun! what we did was had mystic pizza for lunch, and a nice seafood dinner before driving back to long island that night!

Go to Mystic Pizza if you must, but I agree with the above posters....it's nothing special. Also, if I remember correctly, only the exterior was used in the movie.
For a great seafood meal, drive to Abbotts Lobster in the Rough in nearby Noank. Many posts about it on this board.
How long to spend at the aquarium and the Seaport is completely dependent on your interests. You can certainly pass through both in one day, but if you have an interest in either marine life or maritime history you could easily spend a day at each. IMHO there are no boring museums, only boring people.
