anyone have any good advice regarding lodging the the Glenn? How is Sheep mountain lodge. Looks kind of basic to me. Any really really nice B & B's near Palmer?

Stayed at Sheep Mountain Lodge a few years ago. Fine, basic, clean cabins. Well kept, not run down at all or anything. We got there late at night and got startled by a large moose when we went looking for our cabin!
The restaurant there serves very large, yummy breakfasts.
I was satisfied with the place and would stay there again.
If you're going as far as Copper Center and beyond, I would highly recommend staying at the Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge. It is owned by Princess Cruises and is a beautiful place. Be sure to ask for a room with a mountain view. Also, the drive from Copper Center to Valdez is stunning.
Thanks we will be going down the Glenn from the princess lodge toward anchorage, so we will already have done the route from Valdez.I need to figure out the Glenn Highway portion of this trip. I am torn between Palmer or staying near sheep mountain lodge with the kids. Thanks
