Glacier Park Lodging

We are narrowing down our honeymoon planning to only do Glacier NP (thanks in part to advice on this site!) and I was hoping to get some specific advice on certain places to stay. We are planning 3 stops in the park and are deciding between the following - any advice on each or any of them would be great!!! Also advice on which parts of the park we should prioritize would be helpful too.
1) Glacier Lodge
2) A stop at St. Mary Lake and a stay at either St. Mary Lodge (Great Bear Lodge?)or the Pinnacle cottages
3) A stop at Lake McDonald and either a stay at the main lodge or Silver Wolf cottages
4) A stop at the Northern end (Waterton) - not sure where to stay b/c Prince of Wales will not be open yet (we are going 6/5 through 6/16)and if it is worth going up that far if Prince of Wales is closed.

Thanks in advance!
Jen

We stayed at Glacier Lodge, the grounds and building were beautiful, The rooms pretty spartan. This is on the Eastern side and the train station is across the street
We liked the Lake Mcdonald area a little better and while we didnt stay at the lodge we had dinner there twice and enjoyed it. This lodge is on the Western side which is more forested and lush.
We stopped at St Mary Lodge which was newer and more modern, next to an ice cream shop.
I dont know a lot about Glacier weather but last year going to the sun road didnt open til late June. You may be a little early on June 5
We drove to Prince of wales and had lunch, it was OK but after a while the lodges all look alike. A cute little town to explore.
Book a reservation on the red bus for going to the sun road.

Hi jc1229, I walked by a place in Waterton each morning that is open all year and I cannot recall the name ! Check out this link...http://www.watertonchamber.com/lodge.html
The Prince of Wales is a nice addition to the scenery but the charm there is the gorgeous view, the warm people, and the land. Please do stop and there is so much to see around there. The town is so quiant you can walk around the whole place easily. Have a great time, we stayed in St. Mary too, but were in campgrounds. The Going to the Sun Road was open for about 19 miles, we had to turn around at Logan Pass. I have the most fabulous photos of me in 3 feet of snow up there. Living in Florida, it was so awesome to be up there...have fun !
