Girls trip to Chicago

Three girlfriends & I took advantage of some low fares & are spending 2 days in Chicago. We'll arrive on Friday morning & leave Saturday evening, staying at the Seneca Suites at Chesnut. Plan to shop during the day & are looking for a nice restaurant for dinner, & then a fun bar to dance & people watch. We are 41yrs old, love a good glass of wine, dancing & just spending time catching up together. Any suggestions for a fun/different type restaurant, maybe with a good view of the city? And, any ideas for a fun place to go dance afterwards would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

There are literally hundreds of places within a short walk of the Seneca. Check the following thread and the links for the Chicago Reader and Metromix. http://www.fodors.com/community/unit...first-time.cfm

This Friday and Saturday? Supposed to be frigidly cold after all this snow.

Suggest you look at the Chicago Tribune online, under the blogs section, "The Stew", regarding the Local Tourists Restaurant Week starting this Friday.

One of the restaurants named is Mercat a la Planxa.

Thanks for the tips. We'll be in Chicago Jan 15 & 16. I love the idea of drinks at Hancock Tower to start off our night! And I'm doing some research based on your suggestions.
Thanks!
