Hi all! Hitting Dallas for two days this weekend for a girls' trip.
We're mid-30's outlet/bargain shoppers. We'll definitely hit the Allen outlet mall (probably stay near there). Anything else in that area we should be sure to hit? Probably skip Grapevine Mills this time around. We may hit Sam Moon and maybe Ikea. Any other outlets in the DFW area (either malls or free-standing stores of interest)? Or any other unique stores that aren't in OK (Sam Moon's a lot of fun, love to stock up on stuff at Ikea... I know we're missing some gems we don't know exist!)? We're moms, so kids' stores are great too.
We're bypassing museums this trip. Any fun dining or other experiences that you'd consider can't-miss? Thanks for the tips!

Allen Premium Outlets really are the best in DFW.
Sam Moon is ALWAYS worth a trip, and the Frisco location isn't too far from Allen, and is just around the corner from Ikea. Sounds like a fun weekend!

Not sure if you only want shopping but the Dallas Arboretum is LOVELY right now and they have a "tea" I have not been to the tea yet - going in a few weeks with a girlfriend. Might be a nice break in the midst of the shopping.

The new Courtyard Marriott in Allen is very nice if you're still looking for a hotel. It's just up the street from the Premium Outlets in the Village at Allen and is a big step above the average Courtyard.
There are a lot of restaurants in both the Village at Allen and across the street in the Village at Fairview. I like Gloria's and also BJ's Brewhouse. Skip Guy Harvey's.

Shopping and restaurants abound in Frisco also. If you haven't been to Frisco or Allen in a few years, you will be surprised at the growth.
