The inbound Blue Line goes directly from Crystal City to Morgan Boulevard.

The metro seems like the answer to me. The walk from the station is under a mile. You'll have lots of company.

$70 cab fare each way seems high but you're traveling during weekday rush hour. So who knows. I've never taken a cab there. It will definitely be a lot more expensive than the metro and, depending on the traffic gods, could be a much longer trip.

The walk from the Metro is a colossal pain in the ass.

Last time we went we grabbed a cab about halfway from the stadium to the metro stop. The under a mile they advertise is very misleading.
