We have an event in Colorado Springs for three days in March. We are flying into Denver. We will not need a car in Colorado Springs, as the event is across the street from the hotel. We'd prefer not to rent a car, but looking at the shuttle options, we might have to.
Shuttles are $40-$50/one-way, and might not be convenient with our return flight (6:30pm on Sunday).
There are four of us in our party.
Thanks for the advice.

I believe you could rent a car cheaper than the shuttle total. For 3 days are you sure you wouldn't like to go other places than the hotel and convention center? It's an interesting area.
Sounds like you are using the Broadmoor. Unfortunately your choices are very limited if non-existent. It is either the shuttle or rent a car. Public transportation between cities is non-existent. As a local I don't rent at the airport so I cannot confirm or deny that the airport car rentals are expensive as often reported.
Why not just fly into CO Springs in the first place? American flies ther direct from Dallas.
Thanks for the input.
Flight from ORD-DEN was $128 RT on UAL non-stop. ORD-COS is $405. We already purchased our tickets for the four of us.
We are staying at the Hilton Antlers. We will probably need to just rent a car - will be about $150 for the three days, plus the $17/day self-park at the hotel plus gas. We are there for a competition / event at the convention center across the street, so we hadn't anticipated needing a car. Of course, if we have one, we will have many more options for fun things to do.
Thanks for the tips.
Well, look around and see if you can find a parking ramp nearby that doesn't charge as much. I was able to do that in downtown Denver, I would think CO Springs has cheaper ramps than $17/day.
Three city-run garages within a few blocks - all $0.75/hr, $6.75/day max, OK for overnight.
Sounds like a better deal.
