You could take the "Downeaster" train from Boston's North Station and get off at Dover, N.H., or Wells, Maine, if someone could pick you up. Check for buses to Portsmouth, N.H., too.
We fly in to Boston to head to our place in York. C&J Trailways is a great bus system that goes into Pease AFB in Portsmouth, NH. From there it is about 15 minutes by cab to York. If you have someone going to the wedding who could pick you up there, that would work well too.
portsmouth should be the best and nearest destination, but quite honestly you would be better with a rental car...can you reconsider that??
