Getting around Key West

Since there are so many places to stay in Old Town in ALL price ranges, I'd advise you to try and stay in a more convenient location. I know it'd be a lot easier for you to get around, and the Quality Inn isn't within walking distance of anything. If you'd rather stay there, though, you could always rent a bike or moped.

If you stay at the Quality Inn, I would not rent a bike or moped. Traffic on the street where Quality Inn is located is horrendous, and you are quite a ways from Old Town. We stayed at the Fairfield Inn Suites just down the road and drove into Old Town. No big deal! You have to park a little bit further, but at night it was quieter and definitely more affordable. Plus, I found Old Town to have the stench of rotting garbage!

I was just in Key West and there is a shuttle bus that makes the rounds of the island. We didn't use it, but were talking to someone waiting for it. You can probably get info on it from its website, www.boneislandshuttle.com. I just looked at the website and it doesn't appear to stop at the Quality but maybe there's a stop nearby.
