We live Connecticut, 45 minutes from NYC. Looking to get away for a couple of days after Xmas. Not into skiing. Would like to avoid driving in very snowy conditions. Any suggestions for areas that wouldn't take more than 5 to 6 hours of driving? Group includes my wife, myself and our 2 Labrador Retreivers.

We lived in New Jersey for a while and liked nothing better than going down to Florida. Its sure a lot warmer and your dogs would love to run on the beach! Its a longer drive than you wanted but we stayed at a motel very cheapley in Georgia on the way down. Less than $30 winter rates and its was a nice room. Have fun!
