Any suggestions for a location for a garden wedding in the VT or NH area for about 150 out of town guests? They would like a tented reception.
Thank you

When?
How are they getting there?
How many rooms will you need, that is, how many singes and how many couples will your 150 people be?
Sorry- summer 2013.
Rooms for all guest at the location or nearby. Approx 75% couples.
Transportation could be plane, car or train.
Thanks

We happened to be staying at the Grandview Mountain Inn in northern NH where a wedding was held. Nice property. Bad point, it's kind of remote.
The Flagg Hill Winery is interesting but I haven't attended a wedding there, just gone for wine tastings. It's not too far from Durham/Portsmouth NH. Most convenient airport would probably be MHT. Although rural, close enough to the coast to be a great area for a weekend trip.
Not sure Kimball Jenkins Estate in Concord NH can handle 150 guests. Beautiful carriage house reception area but the wedding we attended overflowed into a tent.
Thank you dfrostnh.
Being out of state it is hard to rely on internet reviews and photos. DD is presently at business school at Dartmouth and wanted in NH or VT.
I will check into these sights.
Thanks
If she's at Tuck, I would suggest that she talk to the event staff at the Dartmouth Inn. They may try to sell her on doing it there -- she could do worse -- but they will be completely connected into the hospitality world in Vermont and New Hampshire.
Hildene in Manchester VT was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw this thread. GORGEOUS gardens, pretty views. Lots of lodging options nearby.

bm- yes Hildene is beautiful but quite expensive just for the facility. Thanks for the suggestion.
We attended a beautiuful wedding at Hildene. You bring in your own caterer which may help control costs.
