Funny or stupid questions asked whilst on holiday.

Do you get asked funny or stupid questions whilst on holiday, or do you ask them yourself? Living in the UK I was asked by a man in a Vegas bar if London was still in a thick smog, as in the days of Jack the Ripper!
When a friend went to the USA for the first time she was puzzled that her breakfast bacon was always in streaky strips. She asked the waiter what they did with all the "round bits"
On a Carnival cruise to the Caribbean when leaving port,a woman asked the Cruise director if the ship had it's own generator, he said he wanted to reply "no ma'am we plug it in before we leave Miami"

We stepped off the ferry at Oak Bluff on Martha's Vineyard and my husband walked up to some guy leaning against a railing and asked him how to get to Martha's Vineyard. He meant to ask about Vineyard Haven. The guy just stared at him open-mouthed and looked like he was trying to decided whether my husband was messing with him or not.

The last funny question I had was at the Vallejo/SF Ferry Terminal in Vallejo. We were all in line waiting to board the ferry. A darling young couple behind me asked me how they could get into SF when the ferry arrived at SF. I was confused for a moment. But after talking to them I found out what they really wanted to know was how they could get to Fisherman's Wharf. Fortunatly we were taking the Ferry that went to Fisherman's Wharf after it stopped at the Ferry Bldg., so that worked out well for them.

One time I was out at the Great Salt Lake out of Salt Lake City, Utah. A woman came up to me and asked what time the tide was coming in!
