Anyone planning on checking out the new French Lick resort casino? I hear it is opening in November. Sounds good, bet the rooms will be a "good price" too. Just looking for your thoughts. Are you planning a trip there?

Having ventured through Franch Lick a couple of times over the years, I'm not sure a Resort is going to make Franch Lick any type of tourist destination.
Coming from Boston, I think that is the first time I have heard French Lick used without reference to Larry Bird
Oh yes Larry Bird, well I think the new hotel and casino sounds much more interesting. But that is a good point, I temp. forgot about him.
I have played music there before. I think it will be very successful, actually. If you go to the website, they have pictures of the renovation. Looks great. They have an excellent golf course there. The areas I thought needed improving were the pool and exercise facilities, but it looks like it's going to be really nice. The grounds are lovely as well. I'm sure they will have specials to attract guests...we will probably visit there and never set foot in the casino. There used to be a liquor store there called "French Licker" and it had a big tongue as the logo. Love it!!
LLindaC I agree with you, I just wondered if anyone was as interested as I am --hence the reason for the post. I too have checked the web site and it looks great.
