Freaky Friday Rants and Raves 4/16

Okay, I'll start:

Rant: how can it get down to 38 in NC in mid-April?
Rave: the chill is keeping the blooms on the dogwood, cherries, redbuds, azaleas, etc. This is the week to be in Carolina in the Morrrrrrrrrrrr-ning.

Rant: That Trump is viewed as the face of American business. For years, Trump has been something of a joke in the New York financial world. Perhaps joke is too strong of a word, let's just say he doesn't garner much in the way of respect.

As it stands now, his Atlantic City casinos are on the verge of their second bankruptcy and rumors are that he has become the public face on an empire with his name, but someone else's money. Speculation is that he once again overextended himself and needed to ditch most of his assets. Hey, he's a good developer and an expert at marketing. I just wouldn't say that he is viewed in the same league as someone like Warren Buffet.

Rave: For someone that said I'd never be caught dead in one, I have to admit that the Honda Odyssey is a godsend for someone with two small kids.

Rave: That Omarossa made a jack*ss of herself on national television. I hope any job offers she had were watching and retract their offers.

Rant: I'm waiting for her 15 minutes to be up. Then again, I'm waiting for Jennifer Lopez's 15 minutes to be up also.

Rave: My friend left for Key West today and I leave for vacation in Miami and Puerto Rico on Thursday!!

Rave: Going to see Kill Bill 2 tonight

Rave: It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend here in NYC

Rant: Thinking about how will I get my cat into the carrier when I leave for vacation. Any suggestions??

Rave: My brother and nephew are on their way up from Florida to visit us here at home in Boston. Can't wait to see them - its been 2 years. They must be bringing the Florida sunshine with them - its might reach the high 80s here on Monday.

Rave: Red Sox Yankees series this weekend - always fun regardless of the outcome (with one very notable exception).

Rave: Boston Bruins fans who, in response to crass Montreal Canadian fans booing the US National Anthem during a playoff hockey game, showed respect and dignity by cheering wildly and supportively during the Canadian National Anthem last night at the Fleet Center. Stupid radio talk show hosts had been trying to encourage Bruin fans to boo in retaliation - so relieved to see that didn't happen.

Rave: Bill won.
Rant: Kwame lost. Two decent guys.

Rant: Assorama. Someone please tell it to go away. Please. It is getting painful watching her continue to make a jackass of herself.

Rave: It's supposed to be in the mid 80s today!

Rave: Two more weeks until South Beach!

Rave: It was a gorgeous and sunny 75 degrees at Wrigley Field yesterday, and the Cubs won!

Rant: It took me 2 1/2 hours to drive home after the game.

Rave: Although I have serious work to do today, the wonders of a wireless notebook will enable me to do it from my back deck.

Rant: Next vacation is still 2 1/2 months away.

Rant: that I've become cynical enough to believe that Omarossa will continue to prosper and extend her 15 minutes of fame...wonder sometimes if there really is justice in the world...

Rave: It's supposed to be 75 out today, the sun's shining so I can play! Work? Nah...

Rave: It's supposed to be 80 today!!

Rant: For once, I really don't have one. It's one of those days on which I realize almost all of my problems are pretty small.

missjanna: Try holding the cat under its "arms." Let the body hang down and lengthen out. Have cage standing on end so the door is facing upward. Start lowering the cat into the cage. My cats don't resist or try to grab on at this point because they want to get their feet on something solid. By the time the back feet have hit the end of the cage, I can move one hand over the front paws to prevent grabbing onto the edge of the cage. Neither the cat nor I have been too severely traumatized by this method.

Rave:
Another gorgeous day in Florida
Rant:
Getting sucked into childish threads , won't happen again, I promise.

Missjanna!
My little cat would turn into a contortionist to stay out of a carrier, the only way we could manage was to put him in backwards..once we had to wrap him in a towel first, to protect us from claws..good luck~
