Four Seasons or Phoenician in Scottsdale

My husband and I are planning on taking our 17month old daughter with us on vacation as the last vacation as a family of three. I am 6 months pregnant. We are looking to go on April 9th for 6 nights and want something easy and relaxing. We can either use points at the Phoenician or we have a super deal at the Four seasons so i don't know how to pick . Our daughter's too young for the kid's club activities at either place so I'd love your thoughts on how we should go about deciding.

Thanks so much!

Years ago I worked at the Phoenician...it is a lovely facility and has immaculate grounds. Make sure you get a room with a good view - there are a few rooms with the backside of a mountain view.

My 2 cents, and am possibly going to set off a firestorm. Both of those hotels tend to be a bit on the
"formal" side and as a mom, I would be a bit concerned about getting "looks" from guests in regards to my 17 month old daughter. Early April is still high season, which means folks are paying $$$ and may not appreciate a toddler running around pool etc.

If it were me, I would rather go to a more family friendly hotel where I wouldn't have to worry that my toddler was disturbing folks and where I was having to "shush" her.

Signed, mom of 2, former toddlers.

Thanks for your feedback. To the mom of toddlers, our daughter happens to be uber chill and calm and quite pleasant...otherwise, we surely wouldn't be taking her with us on this very needed relaxing vacation.

To the others, the Phonecian does look good. I also heard the location was better than the 4 seasons. Open to hear any other thoughts!

Thanks so much again.

The Phoenician is quite a bit closer to downtown Scottsdale than the Four Seasons is. Years ago, friends of ours stayed at the Phoenician with their then-7 year old son (also a very well-behaved child). We met them there and spent the day. We all loved it. They have a pool with a giant slide, so they must expect children!

Another vote for the Phoenician ... there are several pools, including two just for children, so wouldn't worry about DebitNM's comments.

My goodness, I wouldn't worry about a 17 month old causing problems at either location. Families have been going to both forever. It's fun to watch little ones having fun. Enjoy your trip!
