Four Points Sheraton Soho and Greenwich Village Halloween parade

Jump to last reply

During our upcoming trip we wanted to skip midtown and stay near Tribeca or Soho or somewhere in the financial district. We settled on Four Points Sheraton Soho which is located very near Greenwich Village.

Upon looking at October events in NYC I found out that there is quite a Halloween parade and that it attracts a LOT of people.

It appears that the parade begins in the evening around 7:30 p.m. about a block from the hotel.

We will be checking out on the morning of the 31st, but checking and leaving our suitcases for the day. We were planning on returning to the hotel around 7:30 p.m. and catching a cab for our late flight out of JFK.

I'm beginning to think we need to stay elsewhere, as I picture thousands of people in the streets of the village and the inability to catch a cab anywhere near the hotel.

I would appreciate any thoughts on this. Thanks!
