What type of dining experience are you interested in having?

Grady's, Lonesome Dove and Lanny's are all popular places with good followings. They all offer their own version of southwestern cuisine. I've been to all three numerous times and one is not necessarily better than the other they are just different restaurants.

I've only been to Lili's once - found it on a par with the other three.

Other Fort Worth dining options (listed in no particular order) include:

Del Frisco's Double Eagle
Ellerbe's Fine Food
Grace
Bailey's Prime Plus
Eddie V's
St. Emilion
La Piazza
Mercury Chop House
Silver Fox
Bonnell's
Lambert's

and hundreds more!!!

Interested in local - food indigenous to the area. No French or Italian or seafood. Fort Worth food! We have been to Del Frisco's and thought it was way overpriced. I like interesting and excellent food and a nice atmosphere. No chain restaurants - which I see you did not list any.
We have also been to Joe T's which was great atmosphere and pretty good food. Ready for something different.
THanks for the suggestions!

Based on your latest info - look at Bonnell's, Lambert's and Ellerbe's - they are probably what you are seeking.

People in Fort Worth love their BBQ - Angelo's & Railhead are on everyone's short list.

Lot's of Mexican places to choose from also - everyone has their favorites:
Joe T's
Uncle Julio's
La Familia
Cantina Loredo
Benito's
Tres Jose's

To name but a few!

For steak, I really like Eddie V's with Bailey's Prime a close second (we tend to split our steak meals between the two). Of course there's Del Frisco's, Ruth's Chris, Mercury Chop House and a dozen more places. Everyone has their favorites.

FYI - Eddie V's also has excellent seafood so it's a great venue if some in your group don't want steak.

Two other steak houses (both downtown) that I've heard good things about but have not had a chance to dine at are Shula's (in the Sheraton Hotel) and Bob's (in the Omni Hotel).

Still Eddie V's and Bailey's are on the top of my list so I keep going back.

We've eaten at Bob's Chop House in the Omni only once for a special occasion. Thoroughly enjoyed it, but it is a little pricey. Heard good things about Eddie V's and Bailey's but haven't eaten there yet.
