I am wondering which is the best location for spring break with a 14 and 16 year old. I like to be away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to enjoy a dinner or night out.....Are the beaches and water pretty much the same? Prices seem to be similar....
Thanks.
Fort Morgan or Perdido Key?

If you want to be away from the hustle /bustle you probably would prefer Ft.Morgan.
Thanks. I just don't want to be surrounded by go carts and T-shirt shops..... are both the same in terms of beach and water and restaurants, etc..
Thanks again.
Having stayed at both, we definitely prefer Perdido. Fort Morgan is nice, but my 15yr old was pretty bored there. It has some beautiful places to stay but it is more remote and less built up.
Perdido is not nearly as crowded as Gulf Shores or Destin, and it has nice restaurants. If the kids need a water park break, you aren't far from Gulf Shores. We use Meyer Real Estate and stayed at Windemere; it was really lovely. The beach and water are very nice.
I also prefer Perdido, but from what she says she prefers, it sounds more like Ft. Morgan is a better fit.
Yes, the water & beaches are comparable.
