Food near NYC Penn Station.

I am looking for a place to eat near Penn Station NYC, within a 10 minute walk. A casual place with fresh food and good vegetable plates, as well as meat dishes. ideally some kind of Pan-Asian. Also it has to be open between 230-430. Price is not a concern, but I will be dressed casually.

Home on 8th is veg/Chinese and might be a good option.

Little Korea you really take your chances finding a good restaurant. We tried one night and had THE WORST MEAL I have ever had. It started off with Corn tea, awful and went downhill from there. I'm sure that there are some good restaurants, but....

There are a few restaurants down 7th Ave, like Mustang Sally's. Just a couple of blocks down 7th from Penn Station.

There is a NEW Asian restaurant open just north of 34th St on 8th Ave that is very good around 38th St Chinese/Japanese. That's the closest one I can think of in the area.

Hope this helps.

I don't know if you are still looking, if this is open between lunch and dinner, or how fast you walk, but I would recommend Hangawi. It is fantastic vegetarian korean restaurant at 5th and 32nd. It is very unique and amazingly tasty, even if you are not vegetarian. If you want straight Korean, and closer, we always go to Won Jo, which is on 32nd closer to 5th, and open 24x7. There are a number of other good korean restaurants in that area, but that is the one we like best.
